An EXIN expert regarding Green IT explained the content of the program, the difference between Green IT Citizen and  Foundation; the target groups and why it is useful knowledge for everyone.

Many corporate IT departments already have Green Computing initiatives to reduce the environmental impacts of their IT operations. IT systems are responsible for emissions equivalent to those of the aviation industry (source: Gartner).

Green IT is more than a prominent item on the global climate agenda, it also represents a new concept of planning the way we work, live and deliver goods and services.

This is the time to create even more awareness, not only with IT professionals but with every IT user. Eventually a growing number of Green IT users will lead to a contribution towards a better environment.
