EXIN ITSM qualification: New level of availability in Russia

EXIN ITSM qualification: New level of availability in Russia

EXIN in cooperation with local partners Cleverics and Croc’OK have launched Russian version of EXIN ITSM website. ITSM-ISO20k.ru site addresses everyone interested in professional certification in IT Service Management according to ISO/IEC 20000 standard.

EXIN ITSM Brochure in RussianThe site visitors have an access to the full information about EXIN-ITSM qualification scheme. Russian IT professionals consider it as a practical and pragmatic alternative for more costly and complicated ITIL-based qualification.

EXIN-ITSM exams are available in Russia and CIS since 2010 when Cleverics, one of the local EXIN partners published a self-study manual for ISO 20000 Foundation exam.

“In Cleverics we have made EXIN-ITSM qualification the cornerstone of our training portfolio – says Roman Jouravlev, director of Education at Cleverics. – We appreciate its practical role-based structure and the possibility to combine useful information from various sources in one training. This scheme allows a training provider to develop and deliver a truly valuable course. At the same time the standard provides a backbone structuring the syllabi and the qualification scheme in on the whole.”

During 2011, many students passed exams of Foundation and Professional levels. The qualification scheme is now widely recognised and increasingly popular. Among the reasons to choose EXIN-ITSM qualification are the following:

  • Practical orientation – as opposite to learning a textbook by heart;
  • Clear and simple roadmap towards the higher levels of certification;
  • EXIN reputation and trust to EXIN partners;
  • International standard as a basis for qualification;
  • The system of exemptions for the holders of other ITSM certificates, including ITILv2.

Cleverics is not alone in their sympathy to the qualification developed by EXIN. Another Russian training provider, Croc’OK is now preparing for accreditation to deliver trainings and exams according to EXIN-ITSM scheme.

Etel Frank, EXIN manager responsible for the region: “We are sure that the development of ITSM in Russia and CIS has a great potential. Annual conference of itSMF-Russia is now the third largest professional conference in the world. Visiting Moscow last September I have seen hundreds of people interested in ITSM and met with several training organisations developing ITSM programs. We realize that one of the main problems at the local market is the language barrier. The launch of the website helping the local audience to get familiar with our qualification scheme is an important step forward as well as the manual developed by Cleverics for the Foundation self-study. We hope that soon it will be possible to announce the availability of EXIN-ITSM exams in Russian.”
