EXIN respects your privacy and is committed to protecting and handling your personal data with the greatest possible care. What data does EXIN collect?

The personal data collected and processed by EXIN includes (list is not exhaustive): your name, age, telephone number, e-mail address, postal address, any other details relating to the examination for which you registered, payment details, the exams you have taken, and any other information you have provided to us.

 

How is your data used?

EXIN collects and uses your personal data in order to:

 

  • administer and assess examinations;
  • comply with our statutory obligations regarding the administration and assessment of examinations;
  • verify that no fraud has been involved in an examination;
  • provide certificates and examination results in the candidate’s name;
  • provide information and respond to your questions;
  • be able to provide customer services;
  • perform analyses that will allow us to improve our services;
  • send out our newsletter or personalized offers relating to examinations and other EXIN products.

 

How does EXIN gain access to your data?

EXIN obtains your personal data in a number of ways, for example when you complete an exam registration form, sit for an examination, order an example examination, or when you create an online customer account. If you completed a training course offered by a training provider, we will receive your data from this provider.

 

Data collected by EXIN through its websites can also be combined with data you provide to EXIN at other times, such as the information you enter on exam attendance sheets.

 

Who has access to your data?

EXIN may share or forward your personal data or otherwise make it available to group companies for the purposes listed above. These group companies may be located in countries that maintain less stringent privacy laws than the Netherlands, in which case EXIN will ensure that the appropriate measures are taken and that the applicable statutory rules are complied with.

EXIN will ensure that your personal data is adequately secured, in order to protect your personal data, including from unauthorized use, amendment, and unlawful destruction. EXIN will retain your personal data as long as necessary for the purposes stated above or as long as prescribed by the law.
