Lean IT Leadership
Lean IT helps IT organizations to ensure that they provide their customers with the best possible services. Through understanding customer value, the processes that deliver this value, the way to manage performance, the way to organize and the required attitude and behavior, IT organizations are helped to develop a continuous improvement mind-set. Lean IT is complementary to all other best practice methods such as IT Service Management and Project Management standards and frameworks.
Lean IT Leadership builds on the basic knowledge acquired through the Lean IT Foundation. Lean IT Leadership focuses on ensuring that people fulfilling a leadership role within a Lean IT organization know what they need to do to help to develop it to a Lean IT organization. The role may be carried out in a formal or informal capacity. People following the Lean IT Leadership curriculum can benefit substantially from first understanding the Lean IT Kaizen role. One of the core tasks of Lean IT Leadership is driving and teaching continuous improvement.
This exam is developed by the Lean IT Association (LITA). LITA is a non-profit organization founded by three Accredited Training Organizations (ATOs) - ITpreneurs, Pink Elephant, Quint Wellington Redwood and three Examination Institutes (EIs) - APMG, EXIN, PEOPLECERT International Ltd.

The Lean IT Leadership certification is specifically for those people who have some experience with applying Lean principles in an IT environment and have the Lean IT Foundation certificate. If you also have the Lean IT Kaizen certificate you will benefit even more. Lean IT Leadership is for those who want to guide the organization to its True North and, most important, want to improve themselves continuously in the main principles: Respect Every Individual, Lead with Humility, Create Constancy of Purpose, Think Systemically.
Context of the Lean IT Leadership certificate
This exam is part of the LITA Lean IT Certification Scheme and has been developed in cooperation with international experts in the field.
Lean IT ties in well with other EXIN examination programs, such as ITIL®, EXIN Agile Scrum and EXIN IT Service Management based on ISO/IEC 20000. Lean IT optimizes the IT Service Management processes.
