This is the Privacy Statement issued by EXIN Holding B.V., a company domiciled in Utrecht, the Netherlands. EXIN is a global company with offices and candidates in a variety of countries. EXIN respects your privacy and is committed to protecting and handling your personal data with the greatest possible care. This Privacy Statement contains information on the use of your personal data.
What data does EXIN collect?
The personal data collected and processed by EXIN includes: your name, age, telephone number, e-mail address, postal address, any other details relating to the examination for which you registered, payment details, the exams you have taken, and any other information you have provided to us.
How is your data used?
EXIN collects and uses your personal data in order to:
- Administer, assess and develop examinations;
- comply with our obligations regarding the administration and assessment of examinations;
- verify that no fraud has been involved in an examination;
- provide certificates and examination results in the candidate’s name;
- validate certificates and provide the respective requester information about the validation;
- provide information and respond to your questions;
- be able to provide customer services;
- perform analyses that will allow us to improve our services;
- send out our newsletter or personalized offers relating to examinations and other EXIN products;
- assess and register accreditation.
How does EXIN gain access to your data?
EXIN obtains your personal data in a number of ways, for example when you complete an exam registration form, sit for an examination, order an example examination, you create an online customer account or when you or a third party like your employer register your personal accreditation as a trainer or supervisor. If you enroll for an exam via your employer or via an EXIN partner like an accredited examination center, Prometric or Pearson VUE, we will receive your data from these parties.
Data collected by EXIN through its websites can also be combined with data you provide to EXIN at other times, such as the information you enter on exam attendance sheets.
Who has access to your data?
EXIN may share or forward your personal data or otherwise make it available to its group companies and service providers for the purposes listed above. If you enroll for an exam via your employer or via an EXIN partner like an accredited examination center, Prometric or Pearson VUE, your examination results may be accessed by these parties. If you register as a supervisor or trainer via a third party like your employer, your personal data may be accessed by this party. If you have enrolled for an EPI Data Centre Management program exam, your data will be shared with the owner of this program, Enterprise Products Integration Pte Ltd (EPI), registered in Singapore.
Parties who have access to your personal data may be located in countries that maintain less stringent privacy laws than the Netherlands, in which case EXIN will ensure that the appropriate measures are taken and that the applicable statutory rules are complied with.
Security and retention period
EXIN will ensure that your personal data is adequately secured, in order to protect your personal data, including from unauthorized use, amendment, and unlawful destruction. EXIN has an Information Security Management System based on ISO/IEC 27001.
EXIN will retain your personal data as long as necessary for the purposes stated above or as long as prescribed by the law.
