What is the e-CF?

The e-CF is developed and maintained by the European Committee for Standardisation (CEN). Its goal is to identify and standardize IT job roles, competence areas, and competences. The framework was launched in 2008 in response to the emerging e-skills gap. The e-CF was created in mind to give employers and IT professionals common ground, where skills can be benchmarked. The result is the standard EN 16234-1, A common European Framework for ICT Professionals in all sectors, a set of common job roles and key skills that IT professionals need to succeed in their careers.

This common benchmark is precisely why EXIN maps every certification to this framework, so you can be reassured knowing what you are learning, and the skills you are developing have immediate relevance in the workplace. This forms just a part of the EXIN quality of what makes our exams stand out.
