EXIN and AXELOS end their partnership in 2018
UTRECHT (NL), January 4th, 2017 – AXELOS, owner of the ITIL® and PRINCE2® trademarks, announced today that it has decided not to award the AXELOS portfolio to EXIN Holding BV from January 1st 2018. AXELOS has been fully owned by the LSE listed company Capita plc and the UK government since 2014. As one of the original developers and exam institutes of the ITIL® exams, EXIN Holding BV is disappointed that this is AXELOS' decision but also sees opportunities for the future.
EXIN is a leading provider of IT Service Management certifications for over 20 years. Today, more than two million ICT professionals hold an EXIN certificate. “EXIN is known as a global leader in ITIL. We are convinced that our bid was good for our customers and a guarantee for the quality standards of ITIL exams in the market. However, AXELOS has chosen to work with one Exam Institute, this not being EXIN Holding BV, from January 1st 2018”, says Bernd Taselaar, CEO of EXIN Holding BV. “Nevertheless, all our Partners can be assured of the full support of the EXIN team to keep their business going without interruptions in 2017"
EXIN Certification portfolio
EXIN Holding BV has a comprehensive portfolio of ICT certifications including EXIN® AgileScrum, EXIN® DevOps Master, EXIN® Information Security, EPI Data Centre Management, CCC Cloud certifications, EXIN® Privacy & Data Protection, EXIN® IT Service Management, EXIN® ITAMOrg Asset Management, EXIN® BCS Business Analysis, and is developing brand new certification schemes like SIAM® with the British Computer Society. EXIN will explore more ways to keep serving organizations and professionals in their need for high quality IT certifications from 2018 onwards, all mapped to the e-Competence Framework.
Taselaar: “While we are very disappointed with the outcome of the recent tender process, this news offers us opportunities to further develop our own portfolio in a way which best serves the professional ICT community in today's fast moving world. EXIN is looking forward to working with the community to take ICT certifications to the next level, in order to adapt to this changing world”.
