EXIN announces DevOps Professional certification for end 2017
Utrecht, the Netherlands - 19 October 2017. On the 1st of December 2017, EXIN will release DevOps Professional which is designed to address the need in the market for a stepping stone level to the DevOps Master certification. The DevOps Professional certification will offer professionals who work in a DevOps environment the competences they need to embrace this modern way of working.
In August last year, EXIN launched their DevOps program with the release of the expert-level DevOps Master certification. Following the immense success of this certification, it became clear that there was also a desire for a more accessible DevOps qualification. EXIN decided to create EXIN DevOps Professional as a response. Where the Master certification focuses on the adoption and implementation of DevOps, the standard-level certification will test a candidate’s familiarity with DevOps practices.
The certification is based on the best-selling book ‘The DevOps Handbook: How to Create World-Class Agility, Reliability, and Security in Technology Organizations’ (by Gene Kim, Jez Humble, Patrick Debois and John Willis). It will specifically look at how to use the ‘Three Ways’ - flow, feedback, learning and experimentation. As a result, the candidate will understand the impact of these organizational and technical changes in their daily work.
Unlike the DevOps Master certification, DevOps Professional will have no mandatory training. It is recommended to attend a 2-day training course. The certification has been created in partnership with experts from all over the world including the USA, India, Spain, Canada, Switzerland, Brazil, France, China, and Netherlands.
