EXIN Application Management with reference to ASL looks at the ASL-framework, the concepts, processes and activities of application management. It is based on the Application Services Library framework which consists of best practices used to standardize processes within Application Management. The EXIN Application Management program combines well with the exams EXIN Cloud Computing and EXIN IT Service Management based on ISO/IEC 20000.
EXIN Business Information Management with reference to BiSL examines information management from an end-user and business perspective. The program confirms a candidate’s theoretical knowledge and ability to connect business needs with IT services and resources. The program is based on the internationally recognized BiSL standard and is suitable for both IT and non-IT professionals.
EXIN Agile Scrum is the world’s first certification program to combine Agile service management with the Scrum process framework. Scrum is being used by over 70% of Agile teams* which makes this an ideal combination. The advantages of using Agile include increased productivity, improved visibility and being better able to deal with changing priorities. By applying principles borrowed from lean manufacturing the IT industry has embraced a new way of working. This lean method focuses on reducing waste through the elimination of work that adds no value to a service or product. Lean IT aims to instill a continuous improvement mindset within organizations. This is done striving to understand customer value, the processes that deliver that value and the needed attitude to achieve that value. The Lean IT certifications offered by EXIN have been developed by the Lean IT Association (LITA). This non-profit organization comprises 3 examination institutes (APMG, EXIN and PEOPLECERT) and 3 accredited training organizations (ITpreneurs, Pink Elephant and Quint Wellington Redwood).
EXIN IT Service Management focuses less on the theory and more on the practical side of ITSM. It combines key IT service management elements with the quality principles of the ISO/IEC 20000 standard. The EXIN IT Service Management certification program offers several side-entry and bridge possibilities for those professionals with ITIL® qualifications.
This certification program features exams that test a candidate's knowledge of TMap (Test Management Approach) which has become a standard in the IT industry for structured software testing. TMap is based on the Sogeti Busines Driven Test Management approach and is designed to improve control over the testing process. EXIN TMap Suite/NEXT® certification program can be combined with any development method and looks at the testing process from planning to completion. Please note – TMap NEXT® Test Engineer and Test Manager will be available until 1 May 2017.
