During the 2018 CIO Innovation and Transformation Summit, EXIN introduced VeriSM™ to China. The conference was a great success and attracted more than 1000 registrants. Following a careful and thorough selection process, 200 CIOs from large companies were invited to participate. The summit was hosted by JSC Cloud (CIO Innovation) and took place on the 22nd of June at the Grand Hyatt Shanghai, Jinmao.
As co-organizer of the conference, Ms. Lu Mengchun, EXIN’s representative for the Greater China region, introduced the concept of the VeriSM™ approach to the attendees.
Lu Mengchun pointed out that digital transformation has been eroding traditional business practices for decades. Traditional industries have been impacted massively by the advent of the internet. Many companies are anxious and are trying to develop a better digital transformation strategy to survive in this evolving digital landscape.
VeriSM™ as a Digital Transformation enabler
Sharing her thoughts, Ms. Mengchun Lu said, “The biggest feature of the VeriSM™ approach is that it treats the organization, in its entirety, as a service provider. As such, the various parts of the organization, including IT, HR, Sales, Marketing, etc., are all part of the organizational capabilities. VeriSM™ manages to integrate these organizational capabilities, and ultimately helps the organization better serve external customers and deliver value. The VeriSM™ approach can help CIOs from technology to the business, from the IT department to corporate governance, and I believe that this system can be very effective for CIOs. It is the ideal endorsement for promoting digital transformation in the organization.”
Sharing the VeriSM™ approach
Towards the end of the event, EXIN gave over one hundred CIOs the opportunity to take the VeriSM™ Foundation exam. As a result, these CIOs left the summit with a lasting legacy of VeriSM™ service management for the digital age.
