Kyu’s Story

Why did you choose to get certified with EXIN?

I was interested in service management in the digital age while doing Digital Optimization in my work, and that’s when I found about VeriSM™. I wanted to systematically learn a service management approach that can flexibly respond to the Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity (VUCA) era we are currently in, so I decided to take the EXIN certification.

For me, there are three benefits of the VeriSM™ certification:

Firstly, I can systematically learn the service management approach for the digital age through the VeriSM™ model, avoiding the common mistake of being technology-driven.

Secondly, it provides an in-depth study of organizational theory in the digital age. “VeriSM™: Unwrapped and Applied” is an in-depth look at digital environments, digital organizations, and digital leadership. It is no exaggeration to say that this is a “textbook for the digital age.”

Thirdly, it provides a framework for thinking. It is compact, unified, and has a specific scope. VeriSM is flexible and can be used openly for many things. The way in which VeriSM has been conceptualized ensures that you can update your service management approach for the digital era.

It would take much effort to find common points and extract relevant knowledge by myself, but VeriSM™ systematically has it all, and you can learn it very quickly. The way VeriSM™ explains service management in a unifying framework is truly a wonderful thing.

What value did the certification bring you?

My certification as a VeriSM™ Professional has provided me with a systematic knowledge of VeriSM, a service management approach for the digital age. It is a value-driven approach that views service management from an end-to-end business perspective.

In the age of VUCA, service management delivered to consumers is becoming more and more important in order to satisfy organizational capabilities and their expected outcomes. It has been a great asset for me to learn them through VeriSM™.

Moreover, the greatest value of the certification for me is not the acquisition of the certification itself but the fact that I can learn via a complete and comprehensive Body of Knowledge through the certification. The opportunity to learn the accumulated insight of the world’s leading service management experts is the greatest value of the certification for me.

Why should others get certified with EXIN?

The reason why you should get EXIN certification is that you will be able to train yourself always to find the right answers. Using this method is a very effective preparatory step to apply the knowledge in real-life work situations. In addition, learning and conceptualizing knowledge from frameworks such as VeriSM™ before facing a problem in the workplace will enable you to look at matters from a higher and clearer perspective.

Learning via an EXIN certification is one of the most readily available and meaningful endeavors for me, and it is worthy of everyone’s participation.
