At EXIN we strive to make our exams of the highest quality so you receive a recognizable achievement that proves you have the knowledge in your chosen subject area. How do we achieve this? Since 2010, all of our certifications are mapped to the internationally acclaimed e-Competence framework (e-CF). What competence area our certification tests can be seen by keeping a close eye on the badge colour. Read on to discover more.
The e-CF is split into five core competence areas, with 41 competences in total. Each one is represented by a unique colour. Look out for our digital badges to see which area that certification tests! Press the buttons below to discover more and find out what skills are in each competence area.
The e-CF competence area PLAN is one of the three core competence areas. It consists of conceiving, designing, and deciding how your IT processes relate to the business processes. With this in mind, it involves relationship management to ensure what you are planning is aligned with business strategy.
The e-CF competence area BUILD is one of the three core competence areas. It involves you getting stuck in with making the IT product itself, from developing, testing to integration. This competence area subsequently involves a lot of hard skills to ensure your IT solution gets off the ground.
The e-CF competence area RUN is one of the three core competence areas. Running flows through the heart of the IT product or service. Here you look at the provision, support, and maintenance in tandem with business operations. Running consists of a lot of supporting, delivering, and solving problems.
The e-CF competence area ENABLE is one of the two overlapping competence areas that relate to the three core competence areas. It consists of conceiving, designing, and deciding how your IT processes relate to the business processes. This area tests your analytical, knowledge, and strategy development. Additionally, it examines how you tie this into other departments, such as marketing or sales.
The e-CF competence area MANAGE is one of the two overlapping competence areas that relate to the three core competence areas. MANAGE is all about daily business operations and improvement. It involves forecasting and managing quality, risk, processes, and much more.
